Our journey began back in 2007, born from a deep-seated interest in the paranormal and a passion for technology. As software developers, we dived headfirst into the new and exciting world of Android before it was even a public OS. We were there from the beginning, beta testing the platform and launching some of the first casual apps. When the Google Play Store opened its doors in 2012, we launched our first paranormal app, the EVP Recorder, followed by a suite of free ghost-hunting tools.

At the time, the paranormal app landscape was filled with entertainment novelties. We saw a different path. We aimed to harness the sophisticated hardware already in your pocket recorders, sensors, and video, to create serious, practical tools for investigation, offering a free alternative to expensive physical equipment. "No bold claims" Just easy and accesable Apps to enjoy and experiment with.

From Digital Apps to Physical Innovation

 

Our exploration of digital tools like "Spirit Boxes" naturally evolved into creating our own physical devices. With the power and flexibility of Arduino, our software skills translated perfectly. We weren't interested in copying what was already out there; we set out to innovate and solve the real-world problems investigators faced with current hardware on offer. 

We developed unique, first-of-their-kind devices and pioneered new concepts. Our custom analog radio sweep technology, designed for Ghost Boxes, still delivers a level of clarity and audio quality that is second to none. Our primary focus was always on quality and reliability, engineering solutions to eliminate the common issues and false positives that plagued so much of the equipment in the field.

A New Mission: Empowering the Community

 

Our ethical, community-focused stance on providing affordable and effective tools wasn't always popular with profit-driven builders.

This led us to an important decision: to step back from building hardware. 

Now, we are thrilled to embark on our most important project yet: transforming AppyDroid Development into a completely free resource for everyone.

We are opening our archives and sharing the work that has rewritten the standards in paranormal tech. Our mission is to give you the power to create.
